Fish and Chip Shop Counter Server Job Description
- Giving excellent customer service
- Taking orders, handling payments and managing the tills
- Wrapping and bagging food
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and following the rules of health and safety
- Understanding all aspects of the business both back and front of house.
- Undertake all training given both internal and external
- Following the Krispies operations manual to the letter
As a member of the Krispies crew you will also need to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, flexibility and you should thrive when working under pressure (it gets busy and hot in our shop). You should also have pride in all aspects of your work and you should relish being part of our award winning team.
Krispies is proud to offer a programme of ongoing training and assessment to all new starters to our business to ensure your role, reporting line and career progression are clear and you are able to attain the high levels of competency and professionalism we require. Internal training is offered to all and if completed satisfactorily, external courses and active support for further education in the areas of customer service, hygiene and general catering will be discussed and supported on a case by case basis. It is part of your role to participate and complete, to satisfactory levels, all training given.
All Counter Servers report to the Team Leader but we are a small team and you will be expected to help and support other Crew Members, the Team Leader, Manager and Proprietors as and when needed.
The salary is dependent on experience and age and is extremely competitive for our industry. Krispies also offer two consecutive days off per week plus 5.6 week holiday per year
