Our History

Although we have owned Krispies since 2000, since graduating from catering college many moons ago, Kelly and I have been passionate about creating good quality Fish and Chips. We believe the best Fish and Chips deserve the best natural ingredients.

Krispies is a family owned fish and chip takeaway in the beautiful seaside town of Exmouth. We serve good quality nutritional food quickly. All our food is cooked to order so you can always rely on your meal being extremely fresh. We pride ourselves on using only the freshest of fish which comes from sustainable sources.

Not only are we known for our regular chips but we are famous for our unique Krispies battered chips which are lightly coated with batter made to our secret recipe. Our staff have been hand picked and are trained to meet the highest standard in food hygiene, customer care and food quality.

We support a variety of local charities and this year Team Krispies was proud to take part in the London MoonWalk and raise money for breast cancer charities (link to article).

We are not just a fish and chip takeaway, we are Krispies' fish and chip takeaway.

Tim and Kelly

Tim's passion for creating good quality food started when he graduated from Exeter catering college in 1997. Tim soon met Kelly and worked together in a popular and busy fish and chip shop in Exeter, Tim as head fryer and Kelly as counter assistant. Tim and Kelly quickly found their niche and Tim stepped into the role of manager and Kelly as head server. After a couple of successful years they decided they wanted to go it alone and bought their first seasonal fish and chip shop in Dawlish. Although they enjoyed this challenge they wanted a business with far more potential and in 2000 bought Krispies, their biggest challenge yet. They had a vision to create a fish and chip shop where local families and holiday makers would sample the highest quality fish and unique chips in the area. Tim and Kelly believe they have created a brand they can be proud of which clearly shows their passion for good quality fish and chips made with the best natural ingredients
