An Exmouth fish and chips shop is frying high this week after being recognised by the National Federation of Fish Friers.
Krispies, on Exeter Road, won the Fish & Chip Quality Award that identifies outlets that serve the highest quality fish and chips following a thorough assessment of the premises, equipment, working practices, hygiene standards and management controls, along with the quality and taste of cooked fish and chips.
Krispies owner Tim Barnes said “The whole team at Krispies is delighted with the award. The assessment is very rigorous and looks at every aspect of the business to ensure we meet the exacting standards.”
The NFFF, the trade body that represents the nation’s fish and chip shops, runs the scheme as a way of raising standards within the trade and enhancing the profile of the industry .
