Meet the krispies Crew
What is your job title?
I am Team Leader at Krispies
What does that mean?
I keep control of everyone around the front of house and make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.
Where are you from?
I am originally from Burton on Trent
Why did you come to Exmouth?
Kelly Barnes is my Aunt and I came to work for Krispies over a summer holiday five years ago and I have never left.
What was your first job at Krispies?
I started frying chips but I didn’t like it so Kelly put me front of house, serving people and I just loved that and have been there ever since.
What is the best thing about your job?
The best thing about working for Krispies for me is that it is a family business which means a lot to me and I want to succeed for them. I want to see Tim and Kelly open more business and I want to be part of the future that sees Krispies grow. I cannot see myself working anywhere else, it is what I know and love it.
What does winning From Field to Fryer mean to you?
I was really please, I didn’t think we would win it [on the first time of entering] and it’s another award to add to the long list we are building on until we win Fish and Chip Shop of the Year! I am very optimistic for our future.
What’s your favourite thing on Krispies menu?
Haddock and Chips
Are you Battered, Traditional or Mixed
Who are your favourite sports team or band?
My favourite singer is James Brown
What is your favourite thing to do with a lazy, sunny afternoon?
I love going for a walk along the beach or up to Topsham. I would explore further afield if I could drive.
What makes Krispies different from other take aways?
Because it is the best!
