Help Krispies Raise a whopping £25,000 for this amazing Charity!
We are celebrating our 25th Birthday by giving ourselves the huge target of raising £25,000 for Devon charity HeadsUp who offer a vital early intervention service which helps young people with their mental health free of charge.
Help Krispies to help empower and equip young people to look after their mental health and build a brighter future.
Who are HeadsUp?
HeadsUp are an East Devon charity working to empower and equip young people to look after their mental health.
What do they do?
There are currently NO NHS services that help children who might be struggling with the stresses and strains of growing up especially in a world where everyone uses Social Media. We all know that nipping something in the bud is the best way to avoid a small issue becoming larger so HeadsUp aim is to fill this glaring gap.
Early intervention is key and HeadsUp helps kids in three key ways:
Prevention Sessions
These are whole class sessions or assemblies about looking after your mental health, building resilience and also helping each other.
Small Groups
Where children can learn and understand they are not the only ones facing challenges
One to Ones
For children who are starting to struggle with mental health
Since launch in 2019 HeadsUp have helped over 8,000 children in Devon and provide over 200 1:1 sessions a month. All entirely FREE. But their biggest challenge is funding, almost a full time job in itself. They get NO support from the NHS and rely on charity donations and support from local businesses and organisations.
This year you can help make their future and the future of our children just a little more certain by helping us raise £25,000! This money will go towards paying an extra councillor and allow more sessions of all types to go ahead.
We believe that HeadsUp provide a vital service but don’t take our word for it!
“I have seen such a difference in our daughter since you started working with her. Her confidence has increased and anxiety has decreased. She seems so much happier with life. Thank you so much.”
”Thank you for all your help with our son. We are so lucky to have this service free of charge in our area. We are very grateful.”
“There is such a huge need for mental health support for young people and the work that HeadsUP do is invaluable. They have been especially supportive of our Year 6 children and their families, helping them manage the big step up to secondary school. As a result, our Year 6 children describe feeling confident about their secondary education. Children in our community have benefited from 1:1 HeadsUP sessions too. These are vital for some children who need urgent, specific help so that they can thrive in school and at home.”
